I love coffee, good books and Sunday naps. My husband is all that my mom prayed for and more. I am the proud mom of two boys, 5 year old and 1 year old and a proud step mom to an 11 year old girl. My life as a wife and mother are really a dream come true.
I live in a small town (Stuart, FL), in a home, which my husband gutted and renovated. I survived a summer in our 600 square foot apartment during this project….with a 1 year old, our 8 year old and my beloved husband. This was a great marriage builder.
I enjoy blogging, sharing ideas, challenging people and mentoring women. I love people and seek to love them as I have been loved. I speak the truth and thank God for making me bold and courageous.
I am a retired social worker. I spent 9 years working with troubled teens in various settings, from emancipation homes to running a foster care program to place teenage sex offenders. Today, I am a life coach and assist my husband in our Residential Construction company.
My husband is my greatest asset, I knew the day I met him, that he would be mine.
I am an identical twin and she really “gets me”. I love that we are neighbors and our kids get to grow up together. It also helps that her kids can babysit mine!
My life in the pits of addiction were full of pain and brokeness for me and my family. I am grateful for each day clean and sober, living for Christ. I find strength in knowing how loved I am by my heavenly Father.
I have a mental illness but it does not “have” me. I have been sober for 8 years from an addiction that almost killed me. I am married to the man of my dreams.
I have learned in the last several years, what it means to be a friend and to have real and meaningful friendships with women. This is huge because it was missing in my life for a long time. I am forever indebted to many women who have modeled grace and mercy to me and I seek to do the same for other women.
I don’t have a perfect marriage, perfect kids or a perfect life, but I do know that God is perfecting me daily.
I am a worshipper. God is not finished with me yet and I am grateful. I am passionate about Jesus and serving in His kingdom here on earth. I want others to experience freedom and hope in Jesus. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest and my life is lived with intention and purpose.

I am married to a pastor and absolutely love serving alongside him in our church family. We are “normal” people, with “normal” kids (five of them). I birthed three of them out of my very own body in less than three years. And in 2010, after a seven year child-bearing hiatus and then a difficult labor of 30 months, the Lord blessed us with twins. They were 3 ½ years old when we became their foster parents, and were 6 when their adoption became final. They have curly blonde hair and blue eyes, and no, they’re not “identical” since one is a boy and the other is a girl (we actually get asked that question a lot). Life for our family is hectic and full of relationships. It does shape the way that we live as a family, and though our kids make sacrifices along with us, they don’t suffer for it. It has helped them grow and learn that life isn’t about us.
I have run two marathons (which makes me a marathoner). I am a retired high school English teacher who is now a “never stay at home mom”. My hobby job is as a Pilates instructor. I read a lot – often several books at a time. I like the “idea” of organization, and sometimes I even get organized, but sooner or later, somebody messes it all up.
I “suffer” from clinical depression, but have not been stuck in sadness for a long time. I believe God offers hope for all people, and while He can heal any illness, He’s not promised that in every situation. There are people who don’t “believe” in mental illness or who don’t believe a Christian should take medication. I believe those people should keep their beliefs to themselves and pray that the Lord doesn’t allow them to experience depression.
I love Jesus. I am secure in His deep, unfathomable, extravagant love for me. I don’t need to push Jesus on you though. If I let Jesus live through me like he and I both want him to – you’ll beg me to tell you about him, because He’s just that good. And that’s my greatest hope for you. Hebrews 10:23

I love butterflies. I love them on my pictures, my jewelry, my key chain, my clothes and my thank you cards. I love what they represent and how carefree they are during their lifetime. Transformation is my passion!! I do not want to go back and eat leaves like the caterpillar when I am already a butterfly supposed to be sipping on nectar. I get to choose daily what to step into each moment of the day. As I have experienced change in my life, I love encouraging others to step into it too.
I am married to Mark for the past 15 years. He is truly my God-send. We challenge each other daily as we continue on this path towards complete oneness under God. We have two girls, Aubrey 11 and Julia 9. They are so beautiful inside and out. Aubrey enjoys twirling her baton and Julia enjoys Tae Kwon Do.
I have lived in Stuart, Florida for the past 32 years. I can not imagine living anywhere else. Summer is kind of hot but when you have a pool to jump into and air conditioning to come inside to it really isn’t bad at all. My favorite time of year is Spring. Lots of really fun festivals, beach days and did I mention butterflies.
I have been attending the same church since 1993 when I was invited to go on a ski trip. Met my husband on the trip and the rest is history. I joined the choir in 1997 then began professional voice lessons about 3 years ago. I love singing in my church, my car, my living room, my patio. Let me think, anywhere else. Oh yeah, the shower. Always sounds good in there.
I am a mompreneur (mom and an entrepreneur). Since I was laid off from my college job on October 30, 1999, I have worked from home as sales/marketing for direct sales companies, public relations for local non-profits, event planning, wellness consulting, makeup artistry, leadership coaching, and small business consulting.
So that’s a bit about me. I look forward to sharing my moments with you and how God helps me get through each moment of each day. Thanks for including us in your day. Many Blessings, Michelle
