Once I fully committed to a healthy lifestyle, releasing weight became effortless. My shift began in my head and grew to my heart. I finally believed that I was worth taking care of and nourishing.
Quite a few people have encouraged me about how great I look. I value the feedback. Looking good is not enough to motivate me to keep moving forward. There must be more meaningful benefits for lasting change to occur.
Others have commented that it must have been so hard to make these changes. Honestly, it was not hard. I was supernaturally equipped by God to make these great choices, one decision at at a time.
The hard part for me was remaining apathetic about my health and letting myself go. The benefits of being healthy are far greater than the negative consequences I continually experienced when I was making poor choices.
Here are my top 5 benefits to Living Healthy:
My increased energy allows me to get more accomplished in our home, business and in ministry. I no longer need to take a nap in the afternoon, nor do I wake up wishing I could sleep longer. I have two boys, 4 years old and 7 months old. I am so thankful to have the ability to keep up with them and enjoy their exuberant energy.
Intimacy with my Husband:
I have a greater desire to be intimate with my husband. I no longer try to hide my body from him. Our marriage has grown in amazing ways since I made this healthy shift. He is releasing weight too and feeling many benefits from these lifestyle changes.
Greater Self Worth and Inspiration:
I value myself and see myself as strong, healthy and worthy. I choose to cherish my body by nurturing it with healthy food and physical activity. I am accomplishing goals that I never thought were possible. I hope the changes I have implemented inspire others to do the same.
I am having more fun than I have had in a long time. I look forward to meeting up with friends to run at the park and take spinning classes at the gym. The diversity of my exercises keeps it fun and challenging. I am connecting to new women and being challenged by them to enjoy life more!
Honoring to God:
Pleasing my heavenly Father fills me with joy. I know He smiles each time I make a healthy choice. Created in His image, taking care of my body honors Him and pleases Him.
What are some of the limiting beliefs that have kept you from accomplishing your health goals?
Please share in the comments, I would love to hear from you.
“My definition of a limiting belief is something that you believe to be true about yourself (that really is not true) and it prevents you from moving forward as you’d like.” http://www.articledashboard.com/Article/Limiting-Beliefs-Are-They-Holding-You-Back/927620
