Who is Your Life Support? Jenny Price

Welcome to my nephew, Trevor Ray, born just a few days ago.  Mommy and baby are healthy, and we are grateful. Photo taken just an hour after his entrance to the world.  And already…so adored.

LOOK at the photo above.

And look again.

Take it in.

Tell me what you see.

Tell me what you feel.

Tell me what words come to mind.

I see SUPPORT.

I see God’s loving support

His hand

holding my life

and yours.

I feel God providing me brothers and sisters in my life,

that even while God is holding me,

he pours out even more of His SUPPORT through his other children,

and they stop,

and they notice,

and they choose to love Me.

Jacob, the DADDY, cupping his newborn’s head, while his “big boy” Dustin, gently kisses his new brother.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you,

for I am your God.

 I will strengthen you,

 surely I will help you,

surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 41:10

When we were in the process of naming our business, we did Google searches to see what came up with some of our potential names.

The name we ended up with for our Coaching Business is

everyday lifeline.

“Lifeline” is used most often in medical rescue terms.

The reason we chose the name we did:

“Everyday Lifeline”    www.everydaylifeline.com

Life is impossible if we don’t have a “lifeline” to be attached to, along the journey.

We serve the ONE True Lifeline, and we see ourselves as extensions of His grace, hope, and dream building in the lives of others.

I know in my everyday

I cannot live

I cannot breathe

I cannot move

IF I am separated from my life support in Christ.

He made us to live in His support.  He is the Vine, and we are the branches.

Support does not just happen.  It must be sought.  We have to pursue it.

God does not leave us.  If we are His, he cannot leave.

But we have to go to Him, and tap into His best for us.  If we don’t seek Him as our life, we will find a “façade of life” in all kinds of other things.

Empty.

Broken.

Fallen things.

He is the only LIFE SUPPORT that will never disappoint.

God does SUPPORT us through his people.

If you want people in your life, don’t wait for them to call.  You take the risk.  You follow through.

And when you are seeking support from his people, be specific.  Seek it first, and be very clear on the help you need.

“I really need help with the kids.” OR “I need you to either do bedtime tonight, or allow me to sleep in tomorrow.”

“I would love to hang out some time.” OR “Could you meet me for coffee some time in the next two days.  I really need to talk about my marriage.  I am falling apart.”

Support won’t happen by accident.

Don’t dwell on how alone you are, because there are millions of people out there. Take the risk.  You are worth it.  You are loved like sweet little Trevor Ray – held by HIM, and kissed by your brothers and sisters.

You are not alone.

He is always available as your Life Support

in His word

in His spirit

and in HIs people.

HE IS MY LIFELINE.

As Mandissa so beautifully sings.  “You are My Lifeline”

Who is your life support?  Do you know Christ, and is He your line of hope and peace and grace?  If you don’t know Him, I want to tell you more about Him.  jenny@everydaylifeline.com

Who are your life supporters?  What people or groups of people are in your life right now?  If you don’t have healthy support, what do you plan to do about that today? It won’t just happen…

      HIS message, by grace alone.

Okay, I am sobbing now. This post and the post about asking God for things have just unleashed a deluge of tears. I’ve been telling myself that God is my strength and He WILL see me through this difficult time. But all this time I have felt so ALONE. I know He is near me but I could not feel Him near. He has been correcting me but I haven’t felt Him hug me for a while. Until just now. And now I have come undone.
